3J:

Official subunit formed by J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook, created in 2017 during the BTS Home Party event.

94 LINE:

Term for members born in 1994: RM and J-Hope.

95 LINE:

Term for members born in 1995: Jimin and V.

AEGYO:

Cute behavior with adorable facial expressions and voice, common in K-pop.

AGUST D:

Suga’s pseudonym, formed from “DT Suga” (Daegu Town Suga).

APOBANGPO:

“ARMY Forever, Bangtan Forever”, abbreviated as AFBF.

ARMY:

Official name of BTS’s fandom, representing a loyal “army” by BTS’s side.

ARMY BOMB:

BTS’s official light stick used at concerts, released in four versions up to 2020.

B-ARMY:

Term for Brazilian ARMYs, adapted similarly for K-ARMY (Korean), C-ARMY (Chinese), etc.

BANGTAN BOMB:

Behind-the-scenes videos on the BANGTANTV channel showing casual BTS moments.

BANGTAN SONYEONDAN (방탄소년단) :

BTS’s full name in Korean, meaning “Bulletproof Boy Scouts.”

BIAS:

A fan’s favorite member in a group.

BIAS WRECKER:

A member who “threatens” the position of the fan’s bias, often causing confusion.

BON VOYAGE:

BTS’s travel reality show, where the members explore different countries and cultures.

BORAHAE / I PURPLE YOU:

Phrase coined by V meaning “trust and eternal love between BTS and ARMY.”

BT21:

A collaboration with Line Friends, creating characters representing BTS members and ARMYs.

BTS GAYO:

Variety show where BTS plays games and competes with each other on VLive.

BTS MEMORIES:

Annual merchandise including DVDs and photos documenting BTS’s past year.

BTS PARTY:

Celebration held prior to BTS’s debut anniversary on June 13.

BTS PHOTO STUDIO / BTS STUDIO:

Studio for taking pictures with holograms of the members.

DAESANG:

The highest music award in South Korea, won multiple times by BTS.

DANCE LINE:

Subunit of the main dancers: J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook, and V.

DAILY MUSIC:

Jungkook’s hashtag for music recommendations, inspired by #RMUSIC.

DDAENG:

Freestyle track by RM, Suga, and J-Hope that became an anthem among ARMYs.

EATJIN:

Jin’s livestreams trying and reviewing food.

ENDING MENT:

FANCAFE:

FANCHANT:

GOLDEN MAKNAE:

HOPE ON THE STREET:

HYUNG:

“Korean word for older brother,” used by males to refer to older male friends or brothers respectfully.

HYUNG LINE:

Subunit of the older members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, and RM.
