TinyTAN at McDonald’s? Picture this: you’re strolling through the mall, hunger hits, so you walk into McDonald’s, order a Happy Meal, and instead of a random toy, you find a mini figure of your favorite BTS member in TinyTAN form. Well, you don’t have to imagine it anymore — it’s real!
The new collab between McDonald’s and BTS is here to bring us major joy with a collection of figures that are pure charm and cuteness overload.
In August, 66 countries around the world were caught by surprise: after 4 years, the BTS x McDonald’s partnership is back. If you remember the frenzy over the BT21 toys, you know just how fun things got last time.
This time around, the collection features the adorable TinyTAN characters, sending BTS fans into a frenzy over this special Happy Meal edition.
What We Know So Far About the TinyTAN Figurine Campaign
The official launch of the TinyTAN toys kicks off on September 3, but the exact release date for the especific countries hasn’t been confirmed yet. However, since there are no country-specific dates, we assume this will be a global release on the same day for everyone.
It’s a simple setup: when you buy a Happy Meal, for an additional fee, you’ll receive a custom purple box containing one of the collectible figures. In some countries, it’s also possible to buy the TinyTAN toys separately, without ordering the meal — although the price is higher than when bought with the combo.
The packaging is sealed, so you won’t know which character you’re getting — adding that fun surprise factor (though, let’s be honest, not everyone loves that). If sealed, the distribution will be completely random.
The collection will feature two different sets of TinyTAN toys, each with its own look and release date:
TinyTAN Throwback Edition – showcases the characters in outfits inspired by the iconic BTS Meal from 2021.

TinyTAN Encore Edition – launches on September 23, with visuals that nod to the second collaboration between BTS and McDonald’s — a true gift for the more nostalgic fans.

Check out the ad “The BTS Meal is Here,” from McDonald’s Australia:
And there’s more: by scanning the code on the box at HappyMeal.com, fans will be able to play the TinyTAN Power Up game and even sing along to their favorite BTS songs. In other words, the experience goes way beyond the toy — it’s a full-on immersion into the TinyTAN universe.
But… What Is BTS TinyTAN?
TinyTAN are chibi-style (cute and stylized) versions of the BTS members. Created by BigHit, these characters feature expressions, outfits, and gestures inspired by unforgettable moments in the group’s career.
Each TinyTAN figure has its own unique personality, reflecting the vibe of RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
But they’re not just adorable miniatures: TinyTAN have already appeared in music videos, animations, licensed products, books, games, and even educational materials, like books that teach Korean. And now, they’re more accessible than ever through the BTS Happy Meal toys at McDonald’s.
Which TinyTAN Figures Are in the Happy Meal?
The new Happy Meal collection features all seven BTS members in their TinyTAN versions:
- JK TinyTAN (Jungkook)
- j-hope TinyTAN
- SUGA TinyTAN
- V TinyTAN
- Jimin TinyTAN
- RM TinyTAN
- Jin TinyTAN
Each figure comes dressed in a look based on iconic BTS performances. They’re being distributed at McDonald’s locations all over Brazil, but the promotion is for a limited time only or while supplies last for the TinyTAN Happy Meal.
Who’s Who in the TinyTAN x McDonald’s Collab Figures
Recognizing each member is part of the fun! But to make things easier, we’ve identified them for you using clues from the official McDonald’s social media images:

Other TinyTAN – Way Beyond the BTS McDonald’s Toys
You’ve definitely seen TinyTAN around — dangling from backpacks and purses as keychains or even photocards. The internet is full of them, from Tamagotchis to Funkos. And honestly, it makes sense — they’re just that cute.
Their decorative versions also show up in bedrooms and living rooms of ARMYs all over the world, not to mention stickers on notebooks and binders, raising eyebrows from teachers who have no idea what they’re looking at — but surely find them adorable.
They also look great printed on t-shirts and hoodies, because let’s face it: they’re fashion icons by nature, with their colorful hair and ultra-stylish outfits.
That’s why you’ll find hundreds of products (unofficial ones, let’s be real…) on Shopee — especially the all-time favorite: the TinyTAN Mic Drop mini figures.
But don’t be fooled. TinyTANs weren’t made just to drain our wallets. Sure, they’re merch — no one’s denying that — but like everything in the BTS universe, there’s always a story behind it. And oh, what a heart-melting story it is!

TinyTAN in MVs and Animations (yes, they’ve already shined on screen!)
TinyTAN won even more hearts with their appearances in MVs and beautifully crafted animations:

What Is the TinyTAN Magic Door Concept?
The animation TinyTAN – Magic Door was officially released on August 8, 2020. In it, the TinyTAN characters appear through a magical door to give a warm hug to anyone tired of reality.
As a kind of “second version” of the BTS members, TinyTAN live in an enchanted universe that connects to the real world through this Magic Door, which is more than just a physical passage — it’s a symbolic bridge between dreams and reality.
In that sense, the Magic Door represents our power of imagination. TinyTAN, then, are magical beings who help us cross that imaginary bridge between the real world and the dream world.
All of it to the sound of Mic Drop. Too much to handle, right?

There’s more. Get your heart (and tissues) ready for Dream On…
Dream On is a short animation released on January 15, 2021, set to the song 00:00 (Zero O’Clock) — one of the most meaningful tracks for the fandom.
It’s everything you’d expect: beautiful, sweet, and full of symbolism for ARMY:
- The whale – The girl wears a shirt with a whale, referencing the song Whalien 52, about “the loneliest whale.” The TinyTAN awaken the whale with a magical kiss: “you’re never alone.”
- A train scene – Reminiscent of the Spring Day MV: better days are coming.
- The girl’s room – Filled with books and sheet music, hinting at her dream of playing piano — a reminder that we can (and should) believe in our dreams. Near the end, we see her actually playing the piano.
- The number seven – A musical rest shaped like a seven — referencing the seven BTS members and the idea that ARMY is the “eighth member.”
- Zero O’Clock – The clock changes to midnight, marking a new beginning and connecting directly to the song 00:00 (Zero O’Clock).
- Hope Right Here – A billboard with this phrase — a nod to j-hope, his solo Outro: EGO, and its message of positivity.
- Moon and Magic Shop – A moon poster (referencing Jin’s solo Moon) and a magical door (a nod to the song Magic Shop).
- Borahae (I purple you) – The girl wears a purple dress, symbolizing BTS’s love for ARMY.
- ARMY Bombs – She plays the piano surrounded by stars shaped like ARMY Bombs.
