BTS Christmas: Songs, Videos and Photos to Celebrate the Holidays with Bangtan

When it comes to a BTS Christmas, the boys know exactly how to give this time of year that little something extra. As soon as December shows up, it begins: special content, memories popping up on your timeline and a sudden urge to listen to “Butter” with twinkle lights in the background. Coincidence? I doubt it.

Over the years, Christmas with BTS has almost become a tradition. You don’t need ornaments on the tree when you have themed photos, surprise videos and moments that warm you up from the inside. They’ve always found a way to be close, even from far away.

And if you blinked and the holidays arrived before you knew it, relax. This is a complete guide to everything BTS that makes your heart beat faster this season: Christmas songs, videos, performances and photos worth replaying without moderation.

Looking for a little push to get into the holiday mood? Then come on in, because BTS has already lit up the whole way. And of course, the perfect soundtrack comes first. Let’s start with the music!

BTS Christmas Songs: From Classics to Remixes

Every piece of BTS Christmas content has brought something unique. If there’s one thing BTS knows how to do, it’s turn any occasion into a moment worthy of a playlist. And Christmas is no exception. The boys’ holiday repertoire may not be huge, but the impact? That came with a bow on top.

Over the years they’ve released special versions that make any fan sigh with a warm heart. Covers, remixes, classics reimagined with that unmistakable BTS touch — like a present that arrives without asking, yet feels made just for you.

If you’re hunting for a BTS Christmas song for the end of the year, don’t worry, because I’ve brought some that can’t be missing from your holiday soundtrack. Let’s be honest, there’s no better holiday dinner than headphones, dim lights and their voices in the background.

BTS Holiday Remixes

Over the years, BTS has released a few special end-of-year versions that gave the holiday mood their signature touch. You can’t really call it a tradition, since there weren’t many, but the ones that came were enough to earn a permanent spot in ARMY’s December playlists.

These holiday remixes show how BTS has an incredible sense for adapting their songs to the moment without forcing anything. It’s as if they were saying, “we know you need this right now” — and they nail it. As always. Here are the main ones:

Butter (Holiday Remix) – keeps all the elegance of the original, just with a festive, end-of-year touch.

Dynamite (Holiday Remix) – a lighter version, full of sleigh bells and party vibes, the kind that makes you want to sing along in a Santa hat.

Standing Next to You (Holiday Remix), by Jung Kook – part of a set of remixes of the song originally released in November 2023 on his album GOLDEN, which got a special holiday version.

Running Wild (Holiday Remix), by Jin – one of the remixed versions of Jin’s 2024 solo track, with an arrangement made for the holiday season.

BTS Christmas songs and solos

If you’re putting together your BTS Christmas playlist and thinking it’s only remixes with sleigh bells, you can relax. The boys have delivered lots of good things over the years, even before their official debut. Take a look:

A Typical Trainee’s Christmas – BTS (pre-debut) – one of SoundCloud’s gems, released in January 2013, when they were still dreamy trainees. It’s based on “Christmas in Harlem” and “Last Christmas”, with lyrics adapted by them. A mix of hope, jokes and lots of pre-debut charm. Pure nostalgia.

Christmas Love – Jimin – Jimin took the Christmas spirit, wrapped it in a red ribbon and delivered it straight to ARMY’s heart. It’s sweet, joyful and has that happy, snowy-childhood vibe many of us never actually lived, but feel as if we did.

Christmas Tree – V – if Christmas had a K-drama soundtrack full of longing and midnight contemplation, it would be this one. Part of the OST of “Our Beloved Summer”, the kind of song that makes you stare into space thinking about life (but with a smile).

Christmas Day – Jimin and Jung Kook – a cover of Justin Bieber’s “Mistletoe”, BTS style. Released only on YouTube, it’s sweet and romantic, with that duet feel OT7 ARMY loves to treasure.

White Christmas (2024) – V and Bing Crosby – a posthumous collab with the king of Christmas, Bing Crosby, which got a delicate, moving MV. As a bonus, a direct tribute to our beloved Yeontan. Impossible to watch without a lump in your throat.

How to Build the Perfect BTS Christmas Playlist

Trying to get into the Christmas mood, but your playlist still sounds like mid-October? Take a deep breath, because building the ideal BTS soundtrack is easier than it seems, and a lot more fun too.

Whether it’s the soundtrack for decorating the house, sending someone a cute voice message or just listening on headphones while thinking up 37 theories about BTS’s next project, here’s a quick, practical guide. And if you’re still unsure, at the end I’ll leave you a ready-made playlist that has become a favorite among all the ones we have at Bangtan Now.

1. Choose your favorite platform

Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, iTunes, YouTube… what matters is picking where you like to listen most. Spoiler: they all have enough content to build a perfect Christmas playlist.

2. Mix originals with holiday versions

Don’t stick to festive remixes only. Mix themed songs with tracks that have a cozier, more introspective or magical vibe. Here’s an example of a nice mix:

  • Butter (Holiday Remix).
  • “Sweet Dreams” – j-hope’s collab with Miguel.
  • Dynamite (Holiday Remix).
  • “Winter Ahead” – by V.
  • “Running Wild” (Holiday Remix) – by Jin.
  • “Mikrokosmos” – an OT7 classic.
  • “Christmas Love” – Jimin’s solo.
  • “P.O.P (Piece of Peace) Pt.1” – by j-hope.
  • “Christmas Tree” – another V song that just feels like December.
  • “Life Goes On” (OT7) – because yes.
  • “Who” (Acoustic Remix) – from Jimin‘s album MUSE.
  • “Winter Bear” – another V song that isn’t officially a Christmas song, but feels like one.
  • “Serendipity” – Jimin’s solo, couldn’t leave it out.
  • “Snow Flower” – V (with Peakboy).
  • “Scenery” – by Taehyung, and you already get it (and love it, I know).
  • “Crystal Snow” – if this doesn’t play at the end of the year, something’s wrong.
  • “Wild Flower” – RM‘s solo, which fits this playlist perfectly.
  • “Snooze” – SUGA‘s solo that you won’t leave out for anything.
  • “White Christmas” – by V with Bing Crosby.
  • “My You” – Jung Kook‘s solo, of course.

There are also tracks like “Spring Day”, “Magic Shop” and “Home”, and the result is a mix that moves you, comforts you and fills everything with December energy.

3. Keep an eye on streaming rules

If you want your plays to count on the Spotify charts, for example (because an informed ARMY is a strategic ARMY), follow a few basic rules:

  • Avoid playing the same song more than 20 times a day.
  • Don’t create playlists with the same song several times in a row. That’s considered robotic repetition and can invalidate streams.
  • Listen to at least 30 seconds of each track for the play to count.
  • If you have Spotify Premium, turn off shuffle.
  • And of course: don’t mute it (neither the player nor the device).

You can enjoy and support at the same time. Simple as that.

4. Use the B-CD automatic generator

Want to do everything right without calculating how many times each track can appear or the ideal gaps? Meet the B-CD playlist generator. It’s simple:

  • Type in the songs you want to include, one by one;
  • Choose how many times each one should appear by clicking “+”;
  • Click “Generate Playlist”.

Done! You have a tailor-made playlist, within Spotify’s guidelines, ready to play guilt-free.

5. Don’t know where to start? Relax, I have a plan

If putting all this together seems like too much for a busy end of year, breathe. Because yes, we have a ready-made playlist, and it’s a favorite among the dozens created by Bangtan Now. It brings together Christmas classics, remixes, holiday solos and BTS tracks with an end-of-year vibe.

Open our “Christmas with BTS” playlist, hit play and let the Christmas spirit with a Korean accent take over.

BTS Christmas Videos: Unforgettable Performances

Now that the music has warmed things up, it’s time for the real present: the videos. If there’s something that takes the Christmas spirit to another level, it’s watching BTS give it their all in performances with themed sets, cute outfits and that sparkle in their eyes only they have.

Over the years the boys have left a collection of visual moments that became a personal tradition for many people. Here’s a selection of the most memorable.

Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town – the performance on the Disney special was pure cuteness with sharp vocals. A Christmas look, smiles and a chorus that could easily play at your holiday dinner.

Sing ‘Dynamite’ with me (Holiday Remix) – a video full of Christmas details, good energy and the feel of a party among friends. There are also versions focused on pairs:

j-hope & V

Jimin & Jung Kook

Jin & RM

These versions are extra special for the lightness and spontaneity of each pair. Remember: Yoongi doesn’t appear in these videos because he was recovering from shoulder surgery.

Butter (Holiday Remix) – dance practice – comfy clothes, a simple set and lots of sync. A masterclass in Christmas charisma in choreography form.

Life Goes On – SBS 2020 – in one of the most emotional performances, Yoongi was represented by a snowman during his part — yes, he was recovering from shoulder surgery. It sounds like a joke, but it was too cute. The kind of detail only BTS would think of.

Le Jazz de V – V opening with “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas”, delivering charm and talent in a jazz version. A treat that became an end-of-year favorite.

Winter Bear – by V – although it isn’t an official Christmas song, it was released around this time. V releasing songs at the end of the year is almost becoming a tradition. Introspective and delicate, the very essence of December.

Christmas Carol Medley – SBS 2019 – a sequence of classics BTS turned into a medley full of charisma and on-point vocals.

Dynamite – CDTV Christmas special in Japan – lights, themed outfits and everything you expect from a BTS Christmas special.

Feliz Navidad – Jin, j-hope and Jung Kook – yes, they sang “Feliz Navidad”, and yes, it was as fun as you’re imagining.

Holy Night – OT7 – one of the most beautiful versions of the classic. A vocal delivery that gives you chills.

O Holy Night – Jung Kook – just him, singing with that voice that needs nothing else to put you in the mood.

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas – V’s cover – another V gem we love with all our heart.

Butter + Dynamite (Holiday Remix) – Jingle Ball 2021 – at one of iHeartRadio’s most anticipated events of the year, an energizing performance with Christmas vibes on a stage worthy of closing the year.

Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN) – official MV – released in 2024, it shows V in a quiet, cinematic winter. Poetic, beautiful and full of atmosphere. Another one of his December songs.

Winter Ahead (Cinematic Still ver.) – the same song, with an alternative video where V and PARK HYO SHIN have dinner and sing together, like two friends. Simple, intimate and full of symbolism.

Watching these videos at the end of the year is almost a ritual. There’s sparkle, nostalgia and emotion. It’s about feeling that, even when they were far away, they were there somehow.

We created a special playlist with all these versions, plus visualizers of other “Holiday Remix” versions and shorter clips of the performances above — perfect to put on the TV while you do your end-of-year cleaning.

BTS Christmas Photos: Moments to Keep

If you thought you’d only feel the BTS Christmas mood through music and video, hold on. When it comes to visuals, the boys deliver more than nice outfits and themed sets. They create memories in picture form.

BTS Christmas photos are like little time capsules: some full of humor, others with that aesthetic only they can pull off, and many that we save on our phones “just to look at later”… and never delete. I’ve picked some memorable moments over the years.

You Never Forget the First Time (2013)

Back in 2013, right after their debut, BTS already dove into the Christmas spirit. The first photos have that affectionate, improvised feel: Santa hats, fun poses and a sense of “we’re still figuring all this out”, which makes everything even more special.

Note: no, that year Yoongi didn’t post a Christmas selca on X, he was only in the group photo (but hold on, he shows up later that same year).

The Christmas Special of (2013)

One of the fans’ most beloved pieces of content, 꿀 FM had a Christmas edition that became a classic among holiday memories. There’s a photoshoot in themed outfits, overflowing charisma and a touch of humor only this show delivers. The photos from that day? A gift for any nostalgic ARMY.

Run BTS: A Chaotic Christmas Mission (2016)

Episode 32 of Run BTS!, “Please Take Care of Santa (Pigdolf)”, is a landmark of Christmas chaos, BTS style. And the photos show it all: mess, questionable outfits (with all due respect, Pigdolf) and the laughter of people clearly having more fun than working.

For more of these images that look straight out of a holiday comedy, check the Bangtan Archive Drive. The episode is available on Weverse.

Christmas with Dispatch (2018)

In 2018, Dispatch published a BTS Christmas photoshoot that still lives in ARMY’s heart. The boys appear in a festive mood, with themed outfits and that contagious energy that makes you feel invited to the holiday dinner with them. Spoiler: you’ll want to step into the photos.

You can see the rest of the photos on the Bangtan Archive Drive.

Happy Holidays on Facebook (2019)

Before all the content moved to Weverse and paid platforms, BTS’s Facebook was a real treasure chest (it still is, okay?). In 2019 they posted a series of Christmas photos with a more casual, spontaneous and cozy feel — perfect for anyone who loves BTS without much production, just being themselves at the end of the year.

Another Christmas with Dispatch (2019)

Yes, there’s more. In 2019, Dispatch came back with another special Christmas shoot, this time with a more mature, polished look. Warm colors, elegant compositions and that look that says “we know exactly what we’re doing”. In other words, another batch of photos to save guilt-free.

You can see more photos on the Bangtan Archive Drive.

Christmas Through DICON’s Lens (2020)

In 2020, DICON gifted ARMY a series of photos that break away from the classic editorial and bet on the charm of simplicity. Each member poses inside a Christmas frame with a red background, white scarf and lots of charisma — a fun vibe, almost like a photo booth at a holiday party. No elaborate set, but expressions worth gold.

Christmas on Naver (2020)

BTS also shared special photos on Naver, and they’re a mix of simplicity and beauty. Soft colors, sincere expressions and the vibe of people wrapping up the year with gratitude and affection.

Happy Holidays from BigHit (2021)

In 2021, BigHit published two behind-the-scenes photos from the “Butter (Holiday Remix)” video, as part of an end-of-year package called Happy Holidays. No elaborate shoot or special video, just the seven of them together, in Christmas sweaters and themed headbands, with that cute energy that delivers exactly what it promises: BTS being BTS.

It’s simple and direct, and maybe that’s exactly what makes it so special. It has that “last day of school before the holidays” feel, and whoever saw it knows: just looking at it makes you smile. And cry, because BTS would soon leave for the military.

See the original post on X.

BTS Christmas photos help build an affectionate portrait of their relationship with this time of year. Whether to laugh, sigh or just remember good times, they’re still there, waiting to be seen again. And again.

Celebrate Christmas with BTS in Your Heart

More than songs, videos or themed photos, a BTS Christmas represents that feeling of warmth only ARMY understands. It’s about ending the year with a warm heart, revisiting memorable moments and feeling that, somehow, the boys are always close.

In this guide we went through soundtracks we love, performances that stick in our memory and images that deserve a special place in our gallery. All of it helps build a Christmas with more sparkle, more emotion and, of course, BTS in every detail.

So take the chance to revisit your favorites, discover something new or even build a custom playlist to enjoy alone or with someone who shares this love. And if this made you smile, share it with another ARMY. Spreading love is part of the magic of this season too.

Now tell me: what’s your favorite BTS Christmas content? 💜🎄
