Spring Day: Lyrics, Translation and Meaning of the BTS Song

If there’s one song capable of crossing generations and still moving people as if it had been released yesterday, it’s BTS’s “Spring Day”. Since its release on February 13, 2017, the song has become a true anthem within the fandom, staying alive in fans’ hearts and, surprisingly, on the charts too.

Here’s everything about BTS Spring Day: context, meaning and MV.

Released as part of You Never Walk Alone, a repackage of the iconic WINGS, “Spring Day” quickly stood out not only for its melancholic melody and poetic lyrics, but for its unique ability to touch the soul. And it’s not just us mere mortals who think so. In a Koreaboo article, we read the following:

“If aliens invaded Earth and said they would spare the planet if we showed them the best humanity has to offer, Spring Day would be that choice.”

And honestly? It’s hard to disagree.

The longevity of “Spring Day” on the music charts impresses even people who don’t follow BTS. On the streaming service MelOn, the song stayed in the Top 100 for more than 7 consecutive years, something simply unprecedented. It recently broke the record for the song with the most unique listeners in the platform’s history, surpassing Busker Busker’s “Cherry Blossom Ending” with 8.4 million unique listeners. It’s also the most-liked track on MelOn, with more than 557,000 likes.

But what makes “Spring Day” so special? Besides its nostalgic melody and deep lyrics, many believe the song carries an even more meaningful message, linked to one of the saddest events in South Korea’s history. But hold on — we’ll talk about that later.

For now, only one thing is certain: “Spring Day” isn’t just a song. It’s an experience.

The Context of You Never Walk Alone and Spring Day’s Place on the Album

To understand “Spring Day”, it’s important to look at the album that brought it into the world: You Never Walk Alone. Released on February 13, 2017, it wasn’t a completely new album, but a repackage of WINGS, one of BTS’s most ambitious works.

If WINGS explored themes like temptation, growth and self-discovery, You Never Walk Alone came as a complement, with a message of hope, friendship and mutual support — after all, as the name suggests, you never walk alone. And that’s exactly the concept “Spring Day” fits so well.

While other tracks on the album, like “Not Today”, go for energy and resistance, “Spring Day” takes a more melancholic, reflective path. The song talks about longing, separation and waiting to be reunited, matching perfectly the emotional atmosphere BTS wanted to convey at this stage of their career.

More than just a track, “Spring Day” became the great jewel of You Never Walk Alone, winning over fans and critics with its poetic lyrics and unforgettable melody. And, as we know, its relevance didn’t stop there — the song keeps breaking records and moving people to this day.

방탄소년단 “봄날” 가사

Verse 1: RM, RM & Jung Kook

Pre-Chorus: Jimin, V
허공을 떠도는 작은
먼지처럼, 작은 먼지처럼
날리는 눈이 나라면
조금 더 빨리 네게
닿을 수 있을 텐데

Chorus: Jung Kook & j-hope, Jung Kook, V & j-hope
Ooh-ooh-ooh)

Post-Chorus: Jung Kook & j-hope, Jung Kook
추운 겨울 끝을 지나
다시 봄날이 올 때까지
꽃 피울 때까지
그곳에 좀 더 머물러줘, 머물러줘

Verse 2: SUGA, Jimin

Pre-Chorus: Jin, Jimin
시린 널 불어내 본다
연기처럼, 하얀 연기처럼
말로는 지운다 해도
사실 난 아직 널 보내지 못하는데

Chorus: Jung Kook & j-hope, Jung Kook, V & j-hope
Ah-ah-ah-ah, ah)

Bridge: V, Jung Kook, Jung Kook & Jimin
You know it all, you’re my best friend
아침은 다시 올 거야
어떤 어둠도, 어떤 계절도
영원할 순 없으니까

Chorus: Jimin & j-hope, Jung Kook, Jung Kook & j-hope, V, V & Jimin

Post-Chorus: Jin & j-hope, Jin
추운 겨울 끝을 지나
다시 봄날이 올 때까지
꽃 피울 때까지
그곳에 좀 더 머물러줘, 머물러줘

BTS “Spring Day” Lyrics

Verse 1: RM, RM & Jung Kook

I miss you
Saying it out loud makes me miss you even more
Even when I’m looking at pictures of you
I miss you
Time is so cruel; I hate what we’ve become
Now even seeing each other’s faces just once has become so hard for us
It’s nothing but winter here; winter comes even in August
My heart races through time, alone on the Snowpiercer
Holding your hand, I’d go to the other side of the world—I want to bring winter to an end
How much longing has to fall like snow before that spring day comes, friend?

Pre-Chorus: Jimin, V

Like a tiny speck of dust
Drifting through the air, like a tiny speck of dust
If I were the snow floating in the wind
I could reach you
A little sooner

Chorus: Jung Kook & j-hope, Jung Kook, V & j-hope

Snowflakes are falling
We’re drifting farther apart again, little by little
I miss you (I miss you)
I miss you (I miss you)
How long do I have to wait?
How many more nights do I have to stay awake
Before I get to see you? (Before I get to see you?)
Before we meet again? (Before we meet again? Ooh-ooh-ooh)

Post-Chorus: Jung Kook & j-hope, Jung Kook

After we make it through the end of this cold winter
Until spring comes again
Until the flowers bloom
Please stay there a little longer, stay there

Verse 2: SUGA, Jimin

Was it you who changed? (Was it you who changed?)
Or was it me who changed? (Or was it me who changed?)
I even hate the time passing in this moment
I guess we’re the ones who changed, right? I guess everyone does, right?
Yeah, I hate you—you left, but
There wasn’t a single day when I forgot you
Honestly, I miss you, but I’ll erase you now
Because it hurts less than resenting you

Pre-Chorus: Jin, Jimin

I try to breathe you out, cold as you are
Like smoke, like white smoke
Even if I say I’ll erase you
The truth is, I still can’t let you go

Chorus: Jung Kook & j-hope, Jung Kook, V & j-hope

Snowflakes are falling
We’re drifting farther apart again, little by little
I miss you (I miss you)
I miss you (I miss you)
How long do I have to wait?
How many more nights do I have to stay awake
Before I get to see you? (Before I get to see you?)
Before we meet again? (Before we meet again? Ah-ah-ah-ah, ah)

Bridge: V, Jung Kook, Jung Kook & Jimin

You know it all, you’re my best friend
Morning will come again
Because no darkness and no season
Can last forever

Chorus: Jimin & j-hope, Jung Kook, Jung Kook & j-hope, V, V & Jimin

The cherry blossoms must be blooming
This winter is finally coming to an end
I miss you (I miss you)
I miss you (I miss you)
If you wait just a little longer (If you wait)
If you stay awake just a few more nights
I’ll come to meet you (I’ll come to meet you)
I’ll come and get you (I’ll come and get you, yeah, yeah)

Post-Chorus: Jin & j-hope, Jin

After we make it through the end of this cold winter
Until spring comes again
Until the flowers bloom
Please stay there a little longer, stay there

BTS Spring Day and the Sewol Ferry Disaster

Since its release, “Spring Day” has been associated with one of South Korea’s greatest tragedies: the sinking of the Sewol ferry on April 16, 2014. The disaster, which killed more than 300 people, most of them high school students, left a deep scar on the country. BTS has never confirmed that the song was inspired by the tragedy, but the public embraced it as an anthem of comfort in the face of it.

The connection grew mainly after BTS donated 100 million won to the victims’ families’ organization in January 2017, as reported in the book “Beyond the Story”. This act of solidarity led many to interpret “Spring Day” as a tribute to the lives lost. On top of that, the MV has symbolic images, like piles of clothes, which may represent the belongings left behind by the victims. In 2017, SBS’s investigative program “Unanswered Questions” used “Spring Day” in a special episode about the disaster, reinforcing that reading even further.

Even without an official explanation, “Spring Day” became an anthem of mourning and longing, often used to express pain, loss and the hope of being reunited. RM, one of the song’s writers, explained that he wrote it thinking about distant friends:

“When I wrote this song, I remember trying to write it for my friends. Friends who were no longer by my side, or whom I only saw once in a while, presences so distant it’s almost as if we were in different places, even under the same sky.” (Source: “Beyond the Story”)

SUGA, another of the song’s writers, revealed that “Spring Day” was a way of dealing with his own longing:

“When I was going through a hard time, that friend was the only one I could trust. We would talk and I’d ask, crying: ‘Do you think I’ll really debut?’ Now I wonder what that friend is doing…” (Source: “Beyond the Story”)

The emotional impact of “Spring Day” was so deep that, to this day, the song returns to the top of the Korean charts every spring, as if it represented eternal longing and the hope that better days will come. RM even quoted the poet T. S. Eliot, who described April as “the cruellest month”, reflecting on how spring can be a symbol of both renewal and melancholy.

“While studying art, I found out that many writers talk about spring as a cruel season. In the poem ‘The Waste Land’, T. S. Eliot says: ‘April is the cruellest month’. Reading those words, I thought: why had the idea of spring being cruel never crossed my mind? But spring can also be seen as something that comes at the end of winter. And ‘Spring Day’ is about missing someone… That’s why people like it.” (Source: “Beyond the Story”)

Whether it’s a direct tribute or not, “Spring Day” became a song of comfort and memory, offering a silent hug to everyone who has ever lost someone. And maybe that’s exactly why it never leaves people’s hearts — or the charts.

Spring Day Lyrics Analysis – A Story of Grief, Hope and Reunion

The lyrics of “Spring Day” are a true emotional journey, guided by feelings of longing, loss and hope. From the very beginning, the song wraps us in a melancholic scene in which the narrator expresses the wish to be reunited with someone who is no longer around.

The song uses powerful metaphors to illustrate this journey, comparing the pain of separation to winter and the long-awaited reunion to the arrival of spring. But, as we’ll see, this isn’t a song only about absence — it’s also about the hope that one day the seasons will change and reunion will be possible.

Let’s dive into the song and understand why “Spring Day” touches us so deeply.

The weight of longing and the pain of absence

“Spring Day” opens with an intense feeling of longing. The narrator tries to cope with the absence of someone special, but finds that putting the pain into words only makes it stronger.

Even looking at a photograph, the distance doesn’t shrink. The picture may bring back memories, but it doesn’t replace the real presence of the person. Who hasn’t caught themselves staring at a photo, trying to relive moments that won’t come back? Whether it’s a friend who moved away, a past love or someone who is gone, the song puts us in that familiar place of wanting to hold on to time, only to realize it keeps moving, indifferent to what we feel.

Time as the enemy of memory

Next, the song brings up one of the biggest dilemmas of anyone who misses someone: time doesn’t stop, and the distance only grows. The narrator calls time cruel and admits that even seeing that person’s face just once has become hard. Even if memory tries to keep the loved one close, reality sets in.

There’s a painful sense of powerlessness here, because the passing of time makes reunion feel further and further away — whether because life took different paths or because the separation was final.

Endless winter and waiting for spring as symbols

Winter in “Spring Day” isn’t just a season — it represents loneliness, the pain of separation and the wait for reunion. Even as time passes, the feeling of cold and emptiness remains, as if sadness had frozen everything around.

An interesting detail: the narrator says it’s winter even in August, and in South Korea August is summer. That makes it clear the song’s winter isn’t literal but emotional. The narrator is stuck in this state of loneliness and longing, regardless of the season.

The image of a lonely train running through the snow reinforces this feeling. Picture a train moving across a white, desolate landscape with no clear destination — that’s the narrator’s emotional journey, lost in time and waiting for a warmth that never seems to come. It’s a powerful image of being stuck in a cycle of longing, not knowing when (or if) you’ll be able to move on.

In Spring Day, longing falls like snow

Here, the song uses snow as a symbol of memories and accumulated pain. The narrator desperately wants to escape this emotional winter, holding someone’s hand and going to the other side of the world, where the pain can finally end. At the same time, he wonders how much longing still has to fall like snow before spring arrives.

This is one of the most symbolic passages of “Spring Day”, because it expresses both hope and uncertainty. The narrator wonders how many sad moments he’ll still have to endure until a new beginning — symbolized by spring — finally comes. It’s as if he were counting every painful memory, hoping that at some point they’ll be enough to bring back the warmer days.

The metaphor talks about the inevitability of time and the wait for relief, but without a concrete answer. After all, how long does it take for pain to fade? This question resonates deeply with anyone who has lost someone and didn’t know when — or if — the longing would ease.

The wish to get closer, blocked by distance

The narrator imagines being tiny specks of dust floating in the air, or a drifting snowflake, that could reach that person a little faster. Here, the metaphor shows a frustrated attempt to get closer to someone far away. But, as we know, snow doesn’t choose where it lands — it just falls and melts away with time.

This passage highlights the narrator’s helplessness: he wants to get there faster, feels further and further away, and desperately wishes for a way to shorten the distance, but is trapped by circumstances.

Time passes, but the distance only grows

Time goes by, the snowflakes keep falling and, with them, the distance between the two grows. The image of slowly falling snow reflects a gradual separation, where every passing day pulls them a little further apart, making the pain even deeper.

The repetition of this idea throughout the song strengthens the feeling of powerlessness. The narrator seems to fight the separation, but realizes that, no matter how hard he tries, it’s inevitable. It’s a silent pain that doesn’t happen all at once, but little by little, like something slipping through your fingers.

“Spring Day” perfectly captures the sadness of losing something slowly, which makes longing even crueler. After all, sometimes what hurts most isn’t a sudden goodbye, but watching someone drift away bit by bit, unable to stop it.

The frustration of having no answers

Here the song asks a question many of us have asked in relationships that changed over time: who is to blame for the distance? Did the other person change, or did we? There’s also anger at time itself, which keeps moving without caring about the pain of those left behind.

The uncertainty of waiting and the wish to be reunited

This is the climax of longing — the moment the narrator is lost in the uncertainty of time. He wonders how much longer he’ll have to wait, how many more sleepless nights he’ll face before he can see that person again.

Here “Spring Day” touches a universal feeling: the anguish of waiting. The narrator doesn’t know when — or if — the reunion will happen, and that doubt makes the longing even more painful. Waiting becomes even harder when there’s no guarantee it will end.

This passage resonates deeply with anyone who has ever anxiously waited for someone — a distant love, a friend who left or a reunion that may never happen. It’s hope mixed with uncertainty, a feeling the song captures perfectly.

Trying to forget, and failing

This is a crucial moment in the song. The narrator swings between love and resentment, dealing with the pain of still missing someone while also carrying hurt over the separation. He says he hates the person for leaving, yet admits he hasn’t forgotten them for a single day — an emotional contradiction: anger and, at the same time, the inability to let go.

Then comes the attempt to move on: he says he’ll erase that person, because it hurts less than blaming them. The narrator tries to convince himself that forgetting is the best option, since holding on to resentment could be even more painful.

But is it possible to simply erase someone from memory? As we’ll see, the answer seems to be no. The longing and the love are still there, and burying those feelings doesn’t mean they stop existing.

A goodbye that never quite happens

This is one of the saddest parts of the song. The narrator tries to blow that cold memory away like white smoke, but, despite all the effort and despite saying he’ll forget, he admits he still can’t let go.

It’s a universal feeling — who hasn’t tried to leave something behind, only to realize that certain memories and feelings can’t simply be erased?

The hope of reunion and the end of winter

Here “Spring Day” starts to bring a message of hope. After so much pain and uncertainty, the narrator finds comfort in someone who knows his story and his pain, a best friend who knows everything. That suggests he isn’t completely alone — there’s someone who understands him, whether a real friend, a memory or even a part of himself that resists the sadness.

The song then reinforces the idea that, no matter how long winter lasts, morning always returns: no darkness and no season can last forever. That brings a comforting certainty — pain isn’t eternal, just as winter always gives way to spring.

Finally, signs of change begin to appear: the cherry blossoms seem to be blooming, and this winter is coming to an end too. After so much longing and loneliness, something new can bloom. Cherry blossoms, traditionally associated with the fleeting nature of life, represent a new beginning. The winter that seemed endless finally gives way to the possibility of reunion and renewal.

The promise to come back

The song ends with a promise: if they wait just a little longer, a few more sleepless nights, he’ll go meet that person and bring them back. It can be literal or symbolic. Whether in another life, another time or another place, the narrator hopes that one day he’ll be with the one he loves again.

Spring Day and the promise that better days will come

At last, hope becomes concrete: winter doesn’t last forever. After a long journey of longing, loneliness and uncertainty, the narrator recognizes that, however painful the present is, it will pass. Spring, the symbol of new beginnings, will come — you just have to hold on a little longer.

But until then, he makes a sincere request: that the other person stay there a little longer, until the flowers bloom. It’s almost a plea for them not to give up, to hold on until better days arrive.

This sums up the whole message of “Spring Day” — the pain of separation may seem endless, but time brings change, and with it, the hope of reunion.

Spring Day MV Analysis – Symbolism, Nostalgia and Hope

The “Spring Day” MV is a true visual work of art, full of metaphors and symbols that translate the feelings in the song. With a cinematic aesthetic and carefully built scenes, it reflects the song’s main themes: longing, loneliness, the passing of time and the hope of reunion.

From the start, we’re taken into a cold, melancholic world where the members seem to wander between nostalgia for the past and uncertainty about the future. Winter settings, train cars and empty spaces reinforce the feeling of waiting and transition, as if the characters were stuck between what was and what is yet to come.

Let’s look at the main moments of the MV and understand how each scene adds to the emotional depth of “Spring Day”.

The Beginning of Winter – Taehyung on the Tracks

The MV opens with V (Taehyung) at a deserted, snow-covered train station. He looks around as if waiting for something, then kneels on the tracks and puts his ear to them, like someone trying to hear a train coming.

This opening image sets the tone: he’s waiting, trying to hear a sign, but everything around him is silent and frozen by winter. It’s a metaphor for someone who misses another person but isn’t sure they’ll get an answer.

The Train as a Metaphor for Time and Distance

The train appears in several scenes of the MV, always carrying strong meaning.

  • Jung Kook, sitting inside the train, looks out with a sad expression, as if remembering something.
  • Namjoon walks through the cars, surrounded by suitcases and a light mist, reinforcing the feeling of travel and transition.
  • The train keeps going, but where to? It represents time passing, the growing distance between people and the impossibility of going back to the past.

The Sea and the Vastness of Longing

Another important scene is Jimin with his back to the camera, facing the endless sea.

In poetry and music, the sea often represents memories, longing and the unknown. Here, Jimin looks small in front of the horizon, as if trying to find answers or waiting for someone who is no longer there.

Combined with images of gently moving waves, this scene suggests that longing is like the sea — sometimes calm, sometimes overwhelming, but always there.

The Mystery of “Omelas” in the Spring Day MV

In one scene, Namjoon walks out of a door and comes face to face with a hotel called “Omelas”, with a neon sign reading “no vacancy”.

The name wasn’t chosen by chance — Omelas is a reference to the short story “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas” by Ursula K. Le Guin. In the story, Omelas is a perfect city, but its happiness depends on the suffering of a single child kept isolated from the world.

The name’s appearance in the MV suggests a reflection on sacrifice, loneliness and the relationship between happiness and pain, themes that fit the song perfectly.

Happy Memories and the Birthday Party

At one point, the MV brings a contrast to the previous scenes: the members appear together, smiling, throwing confetti and celebrating a birthday.

Namjoon wears a golden crown, symbolizing a moment of joy. But it’s all shown in slow motion, like a distant memory, something that has already passed and can now only be relived in the mind.

Jin and the Spiral of Distance

One of the MV’s images shows Jin at the center of a spiral staircase while the other members run up around him.

The camera pulls back, revealing the huge spiral — a visual effect that may symbolize the passing of time and the growing distance between people. Jin then makes a “framing” gesture with his hands, as if trying to capture a moment and preserve something that’s slipping away.

Later in the MV, the scene repeats, but now Jin is alone. He undoes the framing gesture, but this time there’s no one on the stairs — the others are gone, leaving only him at the center of the spiral.

This visual change reinforces the sense of time gone by and of moments that can’t be relived. What was once full of movement now seems empty, representing loneliness and nostalgia for something that can no longer be reached.

The Abandoned Merry-Go-Round and the Passing of Time

In several scenes, Jung Kook stands in front of a rusty, broken-down merry-go-round, a powerful symbol of childhood and memories of the past.

Later the scene repeats at night, but now the merry-go-round is lit up and there are shadowy figures running around it — Jung Kook, however, stays still, as if stuck in time while the world moves on without him.

In the next moment, though, he finally moves and joins those figures, as if waking from that numbness and deciding to move forward. It may represent accepting the passing of time and the need to go on with life, even if the past remains as a memory. He’s no longer standing still while everything happens around him — now he’s part of the movement.

The Mountain of Clothes – Memories, Goodbyes and the Scale of Loss

Clothes appear throughout the “Spring Day” MV as a recurring visual element with deep symbolism. The first appearance is with Jin, who looks at three washing machines full of spinning clothes, as if watching memories being stirred up, maybe trying to clean or organize them inside himself.

Later, the clothes return in a much more striking way: Yoongi lies on a huge pile of clothes while singing his part. The image is strong and evocative — the clothes seem to represent everything left behind, accumulated memories, the stories of people who are no longer here.

Then the scene grows into something even bigger: the pile of clothes becomes an immense mountain, taller than the real mountains in the background. In this new scene, the members sit on top of this “mountain of memories”, gazing at the horizon.

Many people interpret this sequence as a metaphor for large-scale tragedies — whether there’s a link to a specific event like the Sewol ferry disaster, we’ll never know. But what’s clear is that the image of piled-up clothes conveys a sense of collective loss, of something left behind that remains there, marked in history.

In the context of “Spring Day”, this scene reinforces the song’s central theme: longing, waiting for reunion and trying to move on without forgetting the past. It’s as if, even after everything, these memories stay alive, piled up somewhere in the heart.

The Endless Corridor and the Search for the Past

In one of the most distressing moments of the MV, Jung Kook hurries through the inside of the train, passing door after door, as if looking for something or someone. There’s a sense of desperation, as if he were trying to find something that’s no longer there.

At the end of the corridor, he arrives at the Omelas hotel again, but now all the lights are off except for the neon sign. If this place once seemed like a refuge, now it’s empty and out of reach — a possible metaphor for trying to go back to the past only to realize it no longer exists.

But the search doesn’t end there. Jung Kook keeps going, passes through the laundromat and, walking out the next door, finds the other members, who join him on a walk and then start running in slow motion. The scene conveys a sense of transition — from isolation to connection, from a lonely search to a shared journey.

Then something curious happens: a train passes at the end of the corridor, and inside it is Jung Kook himself, in his sad version, looking out. The running Jung Kook looks at the train, as if seeing himself stuck in the past while his present self tries to move on.

This scene may represent a clash between memory and reality, between the version of him still stuck in the pain of longing and the one trying to move forward. The train goes on its way, and the question remains: is it possible to leave the past behind, or will it always be there, watching us from the windows of memory?

The Final Walk and the Hope of Reunion

The members appear walking together toward the horizon, with the train stopped in the background.

Winter is still there, but there’s a glow in the sky, a promise that spring is coming. This final image perfectly sums up the message of “Spring Day” — the winter of longing may be long, but reunions are always possible.

The Final Symbol of Spring Day – The Shoes on the Tree

The final scene of the “Spring Day” MV brings one of the strongest symbols of the whole visual narrative: the shoes hanging from the bare tree. But the scene begins much earlier, in an almost silent moment, when Jimin finds a pair of sneakers by the sea and picks them up.

That simple gesture already carries emotional weight — the shoes may symbolize someone who left, something left behind, a reminder of someone who is no longer there. Throughout the video, Jimin carries the shoes with him until, in the final scene, he hangs them on a lonely tree with dry branches, under an open blue sky.

This image may represent the end of a journey and a final goodbye. But at the same time, the tree takes on a new meaning: the blue sky, the birds flying in the background and the soft sunlight bring a feeling of renewal.

Despite the pain and longing, spring always comes, and a new beginning is possible. What was once only grief and uncertainty becomes a memory kept with love — a goodbye that doesn’t mean forgetting, but accepting that, even if someone is no longer physically present, their impact remains.

The “Spring Day” MV is a visual spectacle that blends melancholy, symbolism and hope. With carefully chosen settings and deep references, it translates the essence of the song into images that stay with fans.

Spring Day: A Song That Never Fades

More than just a song, “Spring Day” has become a true emotional phenomenon. It speaks of longing, but also of reunions. Of pain, but also of hope. Its impact transcends generations, cultures and languages, staying alive in fans’ hearts and on the charts years after its release.

With a melancholic melody and some of the most poetic lyrics BTS has ever written, “Spring Day” resonates with anyone who has ever felt someone’s absence. But at the same time, the song reminds us that winter doesn’t last forever — spring always comes back.

And that message gets even stronger when we look at the MV. With images of loneliness, the passing of time and goodbyes, every scene adds new meaning to the song. The train that keeps going, the mountain of clothes that seems to grow endlessly, Jin on the staircase that was once full and then empty — everything reinforces the feeling that some things change, and others are simply lost in time.

But then, at the end, we see the shoes hanging from the tree, the blue sky, the birds flying. It’s a visual reminder that, despite the pain, a new beginning is always possible. Just like the members walking together toward the horizon, life goes on, and reunion may happen somewhere in the future.

Maybe that’s the biggest secret behind the timelessness of “Spring Day”. It isn’t just a song about losing someone, but about the wish to find them again one day. It’s about keeping walking, even alone for a while, until paths cross again — here or in another space and time.

That’s why, year after year, “Spring Day” always finds its way back to the charts and to the playlists of anyone who needs a little comfort. Because as long as there’s longing, as long as there’s hope, this song will never stop being heard.
