BTS Funko Pop: the complete history of the group and solo era collections

Before you buy your first Funko, you might think it looks like a strange little doll: a skinny body and a head THIS big, but… it’s sooooo cute! And it’s even cuter when it’s a BTS Funko Pop!

The first BTS Funko Pop pack was sold in a bookstore. In February 2019, Funko showed off the seven members in big-headed form at Toy Fair New York and announced that the pack with all of them would be exclusive to Barnes & Noble, the well-known American bookstore chain. ARMYs in the rest of the world had to import it, and that wasn’t easy.

Almost eight years later, things are very different. There are several collections, and many of them are easy to find. The BTS Funko Pop has become a whole family: eight collections of classic Pops (the famous little figures), plus keychains, minis, crossovers with Minions and Toy Story, and a line in which each member got a figure from his own solo era (I want them aaaall!).

Here is the complete map of BTS Funko Pops, in order of release.

Which BTS Funko Pops have been released?

Since 2019, the BTS Funko Pop has had eight collections in the classic format. Most of them belong to the Pop! Rocks line, the one for musicians, while BT21 lives in Pop! Animation.

Each collection has seven figures, one per member (or one per character, in the case of BT21), and at least five of them had a full-group pack sold exclusively by a single retailer.

A quick note on formats: the classic Pop is about 4 inches (10 cm) tall (the solo era Jimin is 3.75 inches, or 9.5 cm, according to Entertainment Earth), the Pocket Pop is a keychain of about 1.5 inches (4 cm), and the Bitty Pop is a mini of about 0.9 inch (2.3 cm), sold with an acrylic stage.

The group collections, one by one

Love Yourself: Answer (2019)

Seven BTS Funko Pop figures from the Love Yourself: Answer collection stand in a row on a sunlit white shelf, with pothos leaves hanging down the sides. The figures have big heads, round black eyes and colorful hair: blond with pink streaks, dark red, light orange, hot pink, yellow, orange and black. Their outfits are light and casual, with open shirts, jackets, shorts and light pants, and sneakers in different colors, such as green, red, blue and orange. Each figure strikes a different pose, several with one hand at chest height.

The debut BTS Funko Pop line recreates the look of the version F concept photos from the album Love Yourself: Answer. The seven Pops run from #101 (Jimin) to #107 (V). The full pack, the Barnes & Noble edition, shows up in listings as “vaulted,” the collector term for a retired piece.

BT21 (2019)

Seven BTS Funko Pop figures from the BT21 collection stand in a row on a sunlit white shelf, with pothos leaves hanging down the sides. From left to right are Koya, a blue koala with closed eyes and a purple nose, waving; RJ, a fluffy white alpaca with a red scarf around its neck; Shooky, a brown cookie with a furrowed brow, sitting on other cookies; Mang, in a blue mask with a heart-shaped nose and a lilac outfit; Chimmy, a puppy in a yellow hoodie with its tongue sticking out, holding a lollipop; Tata, with a red heart-shaped head and a blue outfit with yellow polka dots; and Cooky, a pink bunny with a determined expression and a raised fist.

On September 10, 2019, Funko announced its partnership with LINE Friends and BTS to turn BT21 into Pops. The lineup was Koya, RJ, Shooky, Mang, Chimmy, Tata and Cooky (#682 to #688, in Pop! Animation), once again with a seven-pack exclusive to Barnes & Noble. Van, the robot who represents ARMY, never got a figure. The story of each BT21 character is in our BT21 guide.

BTS Funko Pop Dynamite (2021)

Seven BTS Funko Pop figures from the Dynamite collection stand in a row on a sunlit white shelf, with pothos leaves hanging down the sides. They all point a finger to the side in a dance move and wear 1970s retro outfits. From left to right are RM, with blue hair, orange glasses, a black patterned shirt and yellow pants; Jin, with orange hair, a red patterned shirt and burgundy pants; SUGA, with brown hair, a brown leather jacket and jeans; j-hope, with round dark sunglasses, a red shirt, jeans and white shoes; Jimin, blond, in a green, white and orange jacket; V, blond, in a green vest and pants; and Jung Kook, with black hair and a brown plaid blazer with jeans.

In July 2021, during Popapalooza, Funko’s own event, the BTS Funko Pops inspired by Dynamite arrived, numbered #218 to #224. The individual figures were sold on Amazon and the seven-pack was a Walmart exclusive. The same era also produced Pocket Pops (keychains of about 1.5 inches) and came back in 2025 as Bitty Pop! Stages: minis in an acrylic case, with a stage that reads “Dynamite” (so adorable).

BTS Funko Pop Butter (2022)

Seven BTS Funko Pop figures from the Butter collection stand in a row on a sunlit white shelf, with pothos leaves hanging down the sides. Each figure holds a small black sign in front of its body, with blurred text. The outfits alternate between black and white suits, and one figure wears a dark jacket with jeans. The hair colors vary: pink, brown, black, blond, a pastel gradient of pink, blue and yellow, brown with bangs, and purple. Some of them wear earrings.

Announced on June 23, 2022, the next line features the outfits from the Butter music video, from #279 to #285. Entertainment Earth and Walmart sold this BTS Funko Pop, and Walmart got the exclusive seven-pack.

BTS Funko Pop Proof (2023)

Seven BTS Funko Pop figures from the Proof collection stand in a row on a sunlit white shelf, with pothos leaves hanging down the sides. The figures stand in relaxed poses and wear pastel tailored outfits with white shoes. The colors of the outfits vary between blue, beige, patterned lilac, pink, patterned dusty pink, light blue and white. The hair is brown, dark brown, lilac, very light pink and, on the last three, black.

Funko unveiled the Proof line on August 28, 2023, with looks based on the “Door” concept photos from the anthology album released in 2022. These BTS Funko Pops (#367 to #373) hit stores on November 29 and were sold by Funko itself, Entertainment Earth, Hot Topic and Amazon. At the time, each one cost $12.99 on Amazon.

Crossovers: Minions and Toy Story

BTS x Despicable Me 4 (2024)

Seven BTS Funko Pop figures from the BTS x Despicable Me 4 collection, in which the members become Minions, stand in a row on a sunlit white shelf, with pothos leaves hanging down the sides. The figures have yellow bodies, silver goggles and black gloves, and wear cowboy-style outfits with denim, white and blue shirts, gold buckle belts and necklaces. Two of them wear wide-brimmed hats, and the others have colorful wigs in pink, blue with a red braid, silver, navy blue and black. One Minion makes a peace sign near his goggles, another waves and the last one winks.

On June 21, 2024, the BTS Funko Pop became a Minion: the seven members showed up in their “Permission to Dance” outfits. The collection celebrated Poppy Prescott, a character in the movie who identifies as an ARMY. The seven-pack cost $99 and was an Entertainment Earth exclusive, where the pre-order sold out. The individual figures went to Amazon, Entertainment Earth and Hot Topic.

BTS Funko Pop Toy Story (2024)

Seven BTS Funko Pop figures from the Toy Story x TinyTAN collection stand in a row on a sunlit white shelf, with pothos leaves hanging down the sides. Each figure stands on a white base with the member's name and wears a costume of a Toy Story character. From left to right are RM as Woody, with a brown cowboy hat and a cow-print vest; Jin as the Alien, with a three-eyed green hood and a blue outfit; SUGA as Hamm, with a pink piggy hood; j-hope as Forky, with a white hood with big eyes and a red bow tie; Jimin as Rex, with a green dinosaur hood; V as Lotso, in a pink bear costume; and Jung Kook as Buzz Lightyear, in the white, green and purple space suit.

The BTS Funko Pop Toy Story line brings together TinyTAN, the group’s official chibi version, dressed up as Pixar characters: RM as Woody, Jin as the Alien, SUGA as Hamm, j-hope as Forky, Jimin as Rex, V as Lotso and Jung Kook as Buzz Lightyear. The collection came out in November, with a suggested price of $12 each. It sold out fast and only came back in stock on Amazon in March 2026, riding the wave of the ARIRANG comeback and just ahead of Toy Story 5.

BTS Funko Pop solo: one for each member

Seven BTS Funko Pop figures from the BTS Solo Era line stand in a row on a sunlit white shelf, with pothos leaves hanging down the sides. From left to right are RM, from the Wildflower era, with dark brown hair, a beige blazer and open arms; Jin, from The Astronaut, with a gray cap, a navy jacket and a golden sphere in his hands; SUGA, from Haegeum, with black hair, a red and black patterned shirt and black pants with chains; j-hope, from More, dressed all in black, with spiky black hair and white sneakers; Jimin, from Like Crazy, with black hair, a denim jacket and jeans; V, from Love Me Again, blond, in a red top and black pants; and Jung Kook, from Seven, with black hair, an open gray shirt and gray pants.

In June 2025, Funko released the BTS Solo Era line, with one Pop per member, each tied to a release from his solo career. Take a look:

BTS Funko Pop Jung Kook: an example of how to collect every version

Buying every collection is really hard, because you can’t always find all 7 figures in a set. So what a lot of people do is collect by member, which is a great tip.

For example, if you’re hunting for the BTS Funko Pop Jung Kook, there are eight classic Pops to track down. In order of release: #105 (Love Yourself: Answer), Cooky (#688, BT21), #224 (Dynamite), #285 (Butter), #373 (Proof), the Minion version, Buzz Lightyear (#435, Toy Story) and #470 (Solo Era). The Pocket Pop and the Bitty Pop! Stages from the Dynamite era are not included in that count.

If you’re wondering why these figures come with numbers, it’s because Funko has many other series besides BTS, and collectors find the pieces they’re missing by number (that’s how they talk to each other on eBay, believe me!).

Editions and formats: exclusives, chase, glow in the dark and minis

In the Funko world, “exclusive” means sold by a single retailer or event. For the BTS Funko Pop, the exclusive edition is almost always the seven-pack: Barnes & Noble (Love Yourself: Answer and BT21), Walmart (Dynamite and Butter) and Entertainment Earth (Minions).

A “chase” is the rare version hidden in regular boxes, almost always with a different finish (metallic or glow in the dark, for example) and found by luck. A “glow in the dark” figure glows in the dark and can be a regular edition or a “chase.” It’s confusing for outsiders, but Funko fans really do have a vocabulary all their own (just like we, ARMY, have ours).

I swear I looked, but in the BTS collections I couldn’t find any record of either version (chase or glow in the dark). The collector checklist we checked leaves the variant and limited edition columns blank for every Pop of the group. That’s exactly why, if you see a listing for a “Funko BTS chase” or “BTS glow,” be suspicious.

You can still buy some figures from the more common series. The rarity of the BTS Funko Pop as a collectible comes from somewhere else: exclusive packs, sold-out pre-orders and retired lines. The BT21 set and the Barnes & Noble pack, for example, only circulate on the resale market.

How much does a BTS Funko Pop cost?

At launch, individual Pops cost $12 to $13 in the United States: $12.99 for the Proof line and $12 for Toy Story. In October 2026, the official Funko store sells only one BTS Pop, RM as Woody, for $14.99. Almost every other BTS Pop has been retired and is listed in the Funko Vault, the brand’s official archive, with its eBay trending value. In that list, individual BTS Pops average about $17, with most falling between $14 and $20. The Jung Kook as Buzz Lightyear is the most valued, at about $45.

Packs cost more. At launch, the Minions seven-pack cost $99 and the Butter one cost $79.95 on Walmart’s website. In the Funko Vault, BTS seven-packs are listed between about $63 and $143. The Bitty Pop! Stages cost $7.99.

These values don’t include shipping or import taxes, and resale prices change often, so it’s worth checking right before you buy.

Where to buy a BTS Funko Pop safely

The trusted channels for buying a BTS Funko Pop are the official Funko store, Entertainment Earth, Amazon, Hot Topic, Walmart, Best Buy and Fun.com. All of them have sold the group’s Pops that are still in production.

Outside of those, on marketplaces, the game changes and you’ll find everything, including a lot of scams. You’ll see anything from rare finds to unlicensed copies (bootlegs), so it’s worth choosing a seller with lots of sales and good reviews and reading the whole listing, not just the cover photo.

Collectors also warn that buying from sellers based in China, on international platforms, multiplies the chance of getting a fake.

For retired pieces, like the Barnes & Noble pack, resale (eBay, for example) is usually the only way. In that case, stick to listings covered by the platform’s buyer protection.

How to spot a fake BTS Funko Pop

No single test guarantees that a BTS Funko Pop is authentic. Check in this order (because, in this market, authenticity depends more on checking several signs than on a single trick):

  1. Compare the price with the ranges we listed above. A seven-pack at the price of a single figure, or a “rare” Pop at half its market value, almost always hides a bootleg.
  2. Check the box number. Each collection follows a fixed sequence (#101 to #107, #682 to #688, #218 to #224, #279 to #285, #367 to #373, #418 to #424, #429 to #435, #464 to #470). The number has to fall within it.
  3. Turn the figure over. On the bottom of the foot, an authentic Pop has the Funko logo, the letters LLC, the year and the same number as the box. On fakes, the lettering tends to be thicker and bigger than normal. Yes, I know, you’d need to be a Funko expert to know that, but here’s the heads-up anyway.
  4. Examine the box. It should have a clear window, consistent fonts, colors that match the official photo and no spelling mistakes. Blurry printing and dull colors are signs of a copy.
  5. Look for each member’s details. Official Pops reproduce specific accessories: the Proof Jung Kook comes with piercings and a necklace, Jimin with earrings and a ring, RM as Woody with a cow-print vest and Jung Kook as Buzz with an eyebrow piercing. If a detail is missing, or there’s one too many, it’s fake.
  6. Be suspicious of what Funko never made. We found no Pop of Van, nor any “chase” or “glow in the dark” version of BTS in any catalog we checked. So if a Jin shows up glowing with the lights off, it might be cute, but it’s a bootleg.

BTS Funko Pop FAQ

How many BTS Funko Pop collections are there?

There are eight BTS Funko Pop collections in the classic format, all with seven figures: Love Yourself: Answer and BT21 (2019), Dynamite (2021), Butter (2022), Proof (2023), BTS x Despicable Me 4 and Toy Story (2024), and BTS Solo Era (2025). There are also Pocket Pops, which are keychains, and the Bitty Pop! Stages, from 2025. As of the publication of this article, we haven’t found a Pop from the ARIRANG era (hi, Funko, pretty please?).

Is there a solo Funko Pop for each BTS member?

Yes: RM (Wildflower), Jin (The Astronaut), SUGA (Haegeum), j-hope (More), Jimin (Like Crazy), V (Love Me Again) and Jung Kook (Seven), numbered #464 to #470.

How much does a BTS Funko Pop cost?

At launch, individual BTS Funko Pops cost $12 to $13. In October 2026, the official Funko store sells RM as Woody for $14.99, and the retired Pops listed in the Funko Vault average about $17, with seven-packs between about $63 and $143. Rarer pieces, like Jung Kook as Buzz Lightyear, go for more.

How can I tell if a BTS Funko Pop is authentic?

To tell if a BTS Funko Pop is authentic, compare the number on the box with the one on the figure’s foot, look for the Funko logo and the letters LLC on the sole, check the paint and each member’s accessories, and compare the price with the market range. Buying from the official store, an authorized retailer or a seller with a track record reduces the risk.

The collection is still growing

Between 2021 and 2025, Funko released at least one BTS collection a year, and the ARIRANG era still has no Pop announced, at least as of the publication of this article. When it comes out, we’ll update this guide.

Now, the question is: what’s your favorite BTS Funko, and which one is still missing from your shelf? Tell us in the comments.
