BTS DICON: covers of RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook in D'FESTA THE ORIGIN

BTS DICON: every edition of the magazine, from 2018 to D’FESTA THE ORIGIN

Seven covers, metal crowns, white shirts and one big problem: which one do you pick? The new BTS DICON opened its pre-order on November 4, 2026, and we already know how this ends: with a spreadsheet of expenses (or a small lie, like “just one”).

If you landed here to find out what this magazine is, or which editions already came out, come with us. This guide to the BTS DICON magazine covers the 2026 edition, BTS Goes On!, D’FESTA, the photocards and V’s solo book, with what comes in each one and how to buy it without falling for a scam.

Quick answer (for anyone watching the clock)

  • New edition: DICON D’FESTA THE ORIGIN, with one cover for each of the 7 members.
  • Pre-order: until November 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Korea time (2:59 p.m. UTC).
  • What’s inside: a 240-page magazine, 3 selfie photocards, 5 holographic mini postcards and a folded black-and-white photo.
  • Where: Weverse Shop, DICON Mall, Ktown4u, YES24, Aladin and Kyobo.

What is the BTS DICON magazine?

DICON is the photo magazine from Dispatch, the Korean entertainment news site. You’ll also see the name written as D-icon or D’ICON, and it’s all the same thing. In practice, it sits halfway between a magazine and a photobook: there are interviews to read, but everyone buys it for the photos.

One detail matters here: not every DICON is about BTS. Each issue has its own artists, so check the cover before you pay. And there’s no single “BTS DICON”. There are several, from different years and in different formats, which is why this guide exists.

BTS DICON 2026: the new D’FESTA THE ORIGIN edition

The 2026 BTS DICON is called D’FESTA THE ORIGIN, and it’s part of Dispatch’s 15th anniversary project. It came along with the exhibition of the same name, open in Seoul since October 23, 2026, at IFC Mall, with 48 K-pop artists. The BTS shoot is all about achievement, glory and the road to the top. And you can tell: there are metal crowns and helmets all over the covers. Subtle, the way only Bangtan can be.

The edition comes in seven versions, one per member, and you choose. Each one includes:

  • A 240-page magazine with the cover of the member you chose
  • 3 selfie photocards
  • 5 holographic mini postcards with handwritten messages from the members
  • 1 folded photo with black-and-white portraits that you can tear apart

The pre-order started on November 4 at 2 p.m. Korea time and runs until November 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Korea time, which is 2:59 p.m. UTC. Korea is ahead of most of the world, so don’t leave it for the night of the 15th, because by then it may be over.

And when does it arrive? As of November 5, we hadn’t found the date in the official announcement. One store lists January 22, 2027, and warns that this may change. If an official date comes out, we’ll update this post.

Every DICON edition with BTS

Shall we start from the beginning? This is the list of editions we found and were able to check. If you own one that isn’t here, tell us in the comments, because we love being corrected by collectors.

DICON Vol. 2: BTS Behind The Scene (2018)

Released on April 20, 2018, DICON Vol. 2 was shot in Los Angeles in November 2017, during the BTS trip to the American Music Awards. Remember? That was the US TV debut with “DNA”. It has 327 photos and more than 12,000 characters of interview across 228 pages, all from a year that changed the size of the group. The whole year is in BTS 2017, if you’re feeling nostalgic.

To get into the mood of that trip, here is the behind-the-scenes episode of the AMAs, from the BANGTANTV channel:

DICON Vol. 10: BTS Goes On! (2021)

BTS Goes On! is the tenth edition of the magazine, released on January 27, 2021. The DICON BTS Goes On! pre-order opened in December 2020, and it came in two formats, which is where your crisis of choice begins:

  • Individual version: 240 pages with one member’s cover, plus an acrylic keyring, a calendar with a lenticular cover, an accordion Christmas card and 5 photocards, all of the member you chose.
  • Group version: 304 hardcover pages in a box, with 8 posters, a desk calendar, stickers and 10 photocards.

BTS DICON, global edition (2021)

September 2021 brought the first global edition of DICON, with BTS, sold through Amazon. The hardcover package had a 332-page magazine, a 132-page photobook, photocards and even a T-shirt. Yes, a T-shirt. Dispatch doesn’t mess around.

DICON Photocard 101: Custom Book

This one is a favorite among card collectors: a binder with 101 behind-the-scenes photocards of BTS in the United States, from 2018 to 2021. If you’ve ever searched for “BTS DICON photocard”, you’ve probably landed on it. We couldn’t find the official release date, so it stays without a year here (if you know it, tell us!).

DICON D’FESTA: BTS (2022)

This one marked the 10th anniversary of Dispatch, along with the first D’FESTA in Seoul. The pre-order ran from July 4 to 14, 2022, and the big news was the cover: the first 3D lenticular cover on a K-pop photobook, with the member’s face moving right in front of you. It was also huge, at 265 x 380 mm and 200 pages, and came with an 88-sheet deco book, stickers made from the members’ own drawings and 5 selfie photocards.

Then came the smaller version, the D’FESTA Mini Edition, with a cover per member and 102 photocards.

And there was also D’FESTA THE MOVIE in a BTS version, a book-and-disc package released in March 2023.

DICON Issue N°16 V: VICON (2023)

DICON V: VICON is V’s first solo photobook, subtitled “a magazine about V”. It has 152 pages, three looks, an interview and four different covers, because one wouldn’t be enough, right, Taehyung? The release was announced for December 20, 2023. As far as we could check, it’s the only solo DICON by a member. If the other six get one, it goes here right away.

BTS DICON photocard: which editions come with cards

Almost every BTS edition of DICON comes with photocards, but the number changes a lot. So you don’t get lost:

  • Vol. 10 individual: 5 cards of the member you chose
  • Vol. 10 group: 10 cards (7 individual and 3 group)
  • Photocard 101 Custom Book: 101 cards
  • D’FESTA (2022): 5 selfies (4 of the cover member and 1 of the group)
  • D’FESTA Mini Edition: 102 cards
  • D’FESTA THE ORIGIN: 3 selfies

If photocards are your weakness, we explained how to store and trade them without getting scammed in our guide to BTS photocards.

How to buy BTS DICON outside Korea

To buy BTS DICON outside Korea, the way to go is an international store. The new edition is on Weverse Shop, DICON Mall, Ktown4u, YES24, Aladin and Kyobo. Before you pay, check three things:

  • Whether the store ships to your country. It changes from store to store, so check at checkout with your address.
  • The final price. Add shipping and any import taxes to the price of the magazine. The cover price is never the final price, sadly.
  • Which cover you’re getting. With THE ORIGIN you choose the member, so double-check before you finish.

Older editions aren’t as easy to find, so resale is usually the way. The classic combo applies: be suspicious of prices that are too good, ask for real photos of the item and don’t pay outside the platform. Same with pre-orders: an unknown site with a “last copy” is a trap. Shortcuts are scams, always.

Seven covers and no right answer

Back to the question from the start: which one do you pick? We looked at all seven many times and couldn’t agree. RM with the helmet, Jin with the crown, SUGA’s pose, j-hope with a crown on his head, Jimin’s stare, V sitting down and Jung Kook peeking through the ring. Good luck, because we gave up.

Now tell us in the comments: which cover would you take home? And, honestly, how many? 💜
