Bts movies: every documentary, in order, and where to watch

BTS movies: every documentary, in order, and where to watch

The story of BTS movies begins in March 2018, when the group released a series called Burn the Stage on YouTube. For the first time, ARMY got a close look at the side of touring that doesn’t fit on stage: the exhaustion, the talks in the dressing room, the seven holding each other up between one show and the next. Since then, there have been theatrical films, documentary series, concerts streamed live to the whole world and, in recent years, a documentary for almost every member.

That’s a lot to keep track of, so we put it all together. Here are all the BTS movies, every BTS documentary and the members’ solo films, in order, with what each one shows and where to watch it. Grab the popcorn (and the tissues, because some of them hit hard).

Where to watch BTS movies

The quick answer for anyone who wants to press play right now. This list was checked on October 23, 2026, and streaming catalogs change all the time and from country to country, so it’s worth checking the platform before you subscribe.

BTS movies in order: from Burn the Stage to ARIRANG

The history of BTS movies follows the history of their tours. Each film is almost a diary of one era, and watching them in order is a beautiful way to see the boys grow up.

Burn the Stage (2018): the series and the movie

The eight-episode series premiered on March 28, 2018, on YouTube Red, now YouTube Premium, and showed what went on behind the scenes of the 2017 Wings Tour. In November of that year, the story became Burn the Stage: The Movie, the group’s first film in theaters, released in 79 countries. To understand the moment they were living, check out our recap of BTS in 2018.

Love Yourself in Seoul (2019)

Among the BTS movies, this one is a concert film, with no behind-the-scenes footage. It brings to the big screen the August 26, 2018 show at Seoul Olympic Stadium, filmed with 42 cameras, and it had a one-time screening in more than a hundred countries in January 2019.

Bring the Soul (2019): the movie and the series

Released in theaters on August 7, 2019, Bring the Soul: The Movie mixes concerts from the Love Yourself World Tour with a conversation between the seven on a rooftop in Paris, after the European leg. It’s the kind of film that makes you want to pull up a chair and join them. That same month, Bring the Soul: Docu-Series came out on Weverse, with six behind-the-scenes episodes.

Break the Silence (2020): the series and the movie

The 14 months of Love Yourself: Speak Yourself, BTS’s first stadium tour, first became a Weverse series, in May 2020, and then a movie, which hit theaters on September 10, 2020. It’s the documentary that showed the most of each member’s personal side. The tour stopped in São Paulo in 2019, and you can relive it all in our article on BTS in 2019.

Permission to Dance On Stage (2022): Seoul and Los Angeles

On March 12, 2022, the concert at Seoul Olympic Stadium was streamed live to cinemas in 75 countries and became the highest-grossing event cinema release of its time. The sold-out SoFi Stadium shows in Los Angeles, on the other hand, dropped on Disney+ as a surprise in September 2022, and that’s where you can still watch them, under the title “BTS: Permission to Dance On Stage – LA”.

Yet To Come in Cinemas (2023)

The free concert BTS held in Busan, in October 2022, got a re-edited version for cinemas in February 2023. Today it’s on Prime Video. It comes with an extra dose of emotion: that show was where “Run BTS” was performed for the very first time.

BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star (2023)

If you’re only going to watch one thing from this list of BTS movies, start here. The eight-episode series premiered on Disney+ on December 20, 2023, and tells the group’s story in order, from preparing for their debut to the military service period, with tons of archive footage and interviews. For anyone new to the fandom, it’s the best crash course there is.

BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG and BTS: The Return (2026)

The seven’s return after military service was captured twice by Netflix. On March 21, 2026, the concert at Gwanghwamun Square, in Seoul, was streamed live to 190 countries, and the recording is still in the catalog. Six days later came BTS: The Return, a 93-minute film that follows the boys in Los Angeles writing and recording ARIRANG. We told you all about the live show on Netflix and the documentary BTS: The Return, which is on its Netflix page.

The tour hit the big screen too. The concerts in Goyang, Tokyo, Busan, Buenos Aires (October 24) and São Paulo (October 30, at MorumBIS) were streamed live to cinemas around the world. This isn’t streaming: it’s a cinema screening, with tickets. All the tour details are in our guide to the ARIRANG tour.

A BTS documentary for each member: the solo films

During the solo era, almost everyone got a film of their own. Each one looks just like its owner, and watching them back to back is almost like meeting seven different artists who, every now and then, pop up in each other’s films.

j-hope: IN THE BOX, HOPE ON THE STREET and HOPE ON THE STAGE

j-hope holds the record on this list. j-hope IN THE BOX, from February 2023, shows the roughly 200 days of making the album Jack In The Box, including his headlining show at Lollapalooza, and it’s on Disney+. HOPE ON THE STREET, a six-episode Prime Video series from March 2024, takes him back to street dance with his former teacher, from Gwangju to New York. And in November 2025, the film HOPE ON THE STAGE brought the finale of his first solo tour to theaters, with appearances by Jin and Jung Kook. Find out more about j-hope’s tour.

SUGA: Road to D-DAY and Agust D TOUR ‘D-DAY’ THE MOVIE

In SUGA: Road to D-DAY, from April 2023, he travels in search of inspiration for the album D-DAY and talks with other musicians about the creative process. It’s on Disney+. The concert film, which hit theaters in April 2024, captures the D-DAY Tour finale in Seoul, with appearances by RM, Jimin and Jung Kook, and it isn’t on any of the streaming services above. Read more about Agust D and the D-DAY movie.

Jimin: Jimin’s Production Diary

Released on Weverse in October 2023, the documentary follows the making of FACE, Jimin’s first solo album. It’s the least known on the list, because it only came out there, as paid content, but it’s worth every minute if you want to understand where “Like Crazy” came from.

Jung Kook: I AM STILL

It hit theaters in September 2024, with 93 minutes about the eight months between “Seven”, the album GOLDEN and his enlistment. In December of that year, the extended version, I AM STILL – The Original, arrived on Disney+ in three episodes, with almost an hour more of interviews and behind-the-scenes footage. We have a whole article about the Jung Kook documentary.

RM: Right People, Wrong Place

RM’s documentary made history before it even reached theaters: it premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in October 2024, the first by a K-pop artist ever screened at the festival. It follows the making of the album Right Place, Wrong Person in the months before his enlistment, almost like Namjoon’s diary. Read our review of Right People, Wrong Place.

Jin: the #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR movies

Jin doesn’t have a documentary like the others, but his first solo tour made it to the cinema twice: the Amsterdam concert was streamed live in August 2025, and #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR THE MOVIE premiered in December 2025, with concert clips, interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and even “Super Tuna” karaoke. Relive Jin’s tour.

What about V?

As of October 2026, V hasn’t released a solo documentary or film. If one ever comes out, you’ll hear about it here, and we already know who’ll be in the front row at the cinema.
