2025 was the year BTS became seven again. This is BTS 2025 month by month: the first solo tours, with j-hope’s HOPE ON THE STAGE and Jin’s RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR, the releases of “Sweet Dreams”, “MONA LISA”, “Killin’ It Girl” and Echo, the return of RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook and SUGA from military service, in June, the 12th anniversary FESTA and the announcement of the group’s album and tour for 2026.

HOPE ON THE STAGE is announced
On the 10th, Big Hit announced HOPE ON THE STAGE, j-hope’s first solo tour, starting in Seoul at the end of February. On the 15th came the details of the North American concerts.
j-hope at the Gala des Pièces Jaunes
On the 23rd, in Paris, j-hope opened the Gala des Pièces Jaunes, a charity event of the French first lady, Brigitte Macron, at La Défense Arena. For almost 35,000 people, he performed “on the street”, “MORE” and “MIC Drop”. It was his first performance after military service.

HOPE ON THE STAGE in Los Angeles
On the 4th and 6th, j-hope closed the American leg of the tour with two sold-out concerts at BMO Stadium, in Los Angeles. He was the first BTS member to headline a solo concert in a stadium.

RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR is announced
Soon after came the announcement of RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR, Jin’s first solo tour, with 18 concerts in nine cities in Asia, the US and Europe, from June to August.

On the 19th, Jin made a surprise appearance at Coldplay’s concert at Goyang Stadium and performed “My Universe” and “The Astronaut” with Chris Martin, three years after their last stage together.

Echo is announced

On the 16th, Jin released Echo, his second solo album, with seven tracks and “Don’t Say You Love Me” as the title track. The MV, filmed in Singapore, stars the actress Shin Se-kyung.
No. 3 on the Billboard 200
Echo debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, the highest position for a Jin solo album, and “Don’t Say You Love Me” entered the Hot 100 at No. 90.

HOPE ON THE STAGE in Asia
j-hope’s tour went through Jakarta (the 3rd and 4th), Bangkok (the 10th and 11th), Macau (the 17th and 18th) and Taipei (the 24th and 25th) and reached Kyocera Dome, in Osaka, on the 31st.

RM and V complete their military service
On the 10th, RM and V were discharged from the Army in Chuncheon, where RM played in the military band and V served in a special military police unit. On his way out, RM played the saxophone for the fans.
Jimin and Jungkook complete their military service
On the 11th, it was the turn of Jimin and Jungkook, who served together in the artillery brigade of the 5th Infantry Division, in Yeoncheon.
SUGA completes his service
On the 21st, SUGA officially completed his social service, the last of the seven. There was no public event when he left and, on Weverse, he apologized to ARMY and to his bandmates for the concern caused the previous year.
The Min Yoongi Center
On the 23rd, Severance Hospital, in Seoul, began building the Min Yoongi Treatment Center, for children and young people with autism, made possible by a 5 billion won donation from SUGA. He also helped create the center’s music therapy program.

Soon after, the four went live to catch up with ARMY: RM and V together and, the next day, Jimin and Jungkook.

At FESTA, the CAPSULE ALBUM Vol.1 was sold, a CD with 14 songs: seven by the group and one solo song by each member.

On the 13th came “Killin’ It Girl”, with GloRilla. The song reached No. 40 on the Hot 100, the highest position of j-hope’s three singles in 2025.

The HOPE ON THE STAGE finale
On the 13th and 14th, j-hope closed the tour at Goyang Stadium, after 33 concerts. On the 13th, the group’s anniversary, Jungkook took the stage to perform “i wonder…” and “Seven”, and Jin sang “Spring Day” with them. RM, Jimin, V and SUGA watched from the audience: it was the first time the seven appeared together since enlisting.

On the 28th and 29th, Jin opened RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in Goyang, with games inspired by Run Jin. The other six went to watch: RM, V and j-hope on the first day; Jimin, Jungkook and SUGA on the second.

On the 1st, the seven went live together on Weverse for the first time in almost three years. In 30 minutes, they said they would start preparing a new album that month, with ideas from all of them, and that they would go on a world tour in the Korean spring of 2026. On the 3rd, the second season of Are You Sure?! premiered on Disney+, with Jimin and Jungkook on a 12-day trip through Switzerland and Vietnam, filmed in June, after military service. The eight episodes came out two at a time, until the 24th.

The 2025 concerts: the first solo tours
BTS did not hold concerts as a group in 2025, but it was the year of the first solo tours. After opening the Gala des Pièces Jaunes, in Paris, for almost 35,000 people (January 23), j-hope kicked off HOPE ON THE STAGE at KSPO Dome, in Seoul, on February 28. The tour went through Brooklyn, Chicago, Mexico City, San Antonio and Oakland and closed the American leg with two sold-out concerts at BMO Stadium, in Los Angeles (April 4 and 6), which made j-hope the first BTS member to headline a solo concert in a stadium. Then came Manila, Saitama, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Macau, Taipei and Osaka, until the finale at Goyang Stadium, on June 13 and 14, with 33 concerts in total. On the 13th, the group’s anniversary, Jungkook and Jin took the stage, and RM, Jimin, V and SUGA watched from the audience. On July 13, j-hope also closed the main stage of Lollapalooza Berlin.
On April 19, Jin made a surprise appearance at Coldplay’s concert in Goyang. On June 28, he premiered RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR, inspired by Run Jin, also in Goyang, with the other six in the audience, split between the two days. The tour went through Chiba, Osaka, Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, Newark and London and ended in Amsterdam, on August 10, with 18 concerts in nine cities. On October 31 and November 1, two encore concerts at Munhak Main Stadium, in Incheon, closed the tour with 20 concerts. Both tours became films: the HOPE ON THE STAGE film premiered in theaters on November 12, and the RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR film, on December 27 and 28. Between September 24 and October 5, BTS MOVIE WEEKS brought four past concerts of the group back to theaters, remastered in 4K.

2025 was packed with content for ARMY: Run Jin, which ended on May 27, with its 36th episode, after hosting even Tom Cruise, Kian’s Bizarre B&B, with Jin, on Netflix, j-hope on I Live Alone and The Tonight Show, Jin also on Jimmy Fallon’s show, the 12th anniversary FESTA, with the theme “Twelve O’Clock”, the members’ lives after military service, the lives of the seven together — the one announcing their return, on July 1, the one on the beach in Los Angeles, the one in the practice room and the New Year’s one —, the second season of Are You Sure?!, with Jimin and Jungkook in Switzerland and Vietnam, and lots of EPISODEs from the solo tours.

2025 began with j-hope and Jin on stage on their own and ended with the seven together in the practice room. Along the way came HOPE ON THE STAGE and RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR, “Sweet Dreams”, “MONA LISA”, “Killin’ It Girl” and Echo, the return of RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook and SUGA in June, the reunion on the 12th anniversary and the live in which the group announced the 2026 album and tour.
And the wait was worth it: on March 20, 2026 came ARIRANG, the group’s comeback album, with 14 tracks and “SWIM” as the title track, and on April 9 the ARIRANG tour began at Goyang Stadium, with 88 concerts announced in 34 cities, including São Paulo, in October. Frequently asked questions about BTS in 2025
When did the BTS members complete their military service?
RM and V completed it on June 10, 2025, and Jimin and Jungkook, on June 11. SUGA, who was doing social service, was the last, on June 21. Jin and j-hope had already returned in 2024, in June and in October.
When did the seven reunite?
On June 13, 2025, the group’s 12th anniversary, the seven were at the final concert of j-hope’s tour, in Goyang: Jungkook and Jin took the stage, and the others watched from the audience. On July 1, the seven went live together on Weverse for the first time in almost three years.
Did BTS release an album in 2025?
Not an album of new songs. On July 18, 2025 came PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LIVE, the group’s first live album, which debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. The new album, ARIRANG, came out on March 20, 2026.
Which solo tours took place in 2025?
